Sailing training is organized yearly to support the preservation and development of the maritime and seafaring culture and to school volunteers to work as a part of a safe and inspiring sailing training. In 2009 there we will organize two sailing trainings. This year we offer only one type of training, so there will not be special trainings for the beginners and the advanced. There will still be option to work as engine or deck trainee to gain more training and responsibility.
The basic idea is that all the sailing time will be an opportunity to carry out sailing training and deck training. It's still seen as an advantage to get on board if a person has earlier experience about sailing or will take part in training.
During the training participants will be accustomed to see Estelle as working environment and they'll be given information concerning seafaring, sailing and seamanship skills. They will also need to learn things about the basics of how to act responsibly when sailing with a cargo sailing vessel.
